Media Hub: Dropping the P Bomb

It is estimated that around 145,000 people have Parkinson's… and every hour, two people in the UK are told they have the disease. On Thursday 1st February, author Emma Lawton will be speaking at the Media Hub at the Bel & the Dragon about "What Parkinson's taught me". Emma was diagnosed with early onset Parkinson's at the age of 29 and documented her personal story in her book, Dropping the P Bomb. Emma has also inspired an invention, a smart watch, which has helped her to overcome her tremor. She will be sharing her personal story of how being diagnosed at such a young age has changed her entire outlook on life and why she’s happier living with the condition than she was before.
