Tell me about yourself...
I live in High Wycombe with my partner, but grew up in Taplow. I have worked as a private, Ofsted-registered nanny for almost 10 years.

What's the best part about where you live – where are you favourite places to go?
I love National Trust places – I enjoy visiting Cliveden and Hughenden Manor for an outdoor woodland walk.
Tell me about your new business…
After working for nearly 10 years as a nanny, I wanted a job that gave me better working hours, more control – but still enable me to work with children. As a nanny, I learnt that the stress and mess of art at home is something often felt amongst carers and parents. Plus stock and materials are expensive and it's hard to constantly think of new and inspiring crafts to keep the children entertained. So from September 2017, I decided to take the plunge and start The Creation Station South Bucks & East Berkshire, offering weekly arts and crafts classes for toddlers and babies, as well as events and birthday parties at the weekends. I offer fun, themed and structured baby and toddler weekly classes, after school create clubs and arty parties – and the children get to take their masterpieces home!

Did you have to do any training courses for your business?
Yes, I had a one-week intensive training course to take over the franchise. I also have my own childcare qualifications – a Diploma in Childcare & Education, I'm Ofsted-registered, first-aid trained and DBS checked.
