Premier local photographer launches Penn Road Studio

I recently visited Beaconsfield premier photographer Jacqueline Ferguson. Not only has she met and photographed the Queen, she has launched her
own impressive Penn Road Studio....

Straight away, as I enter the first-floor studio bathed in natural light, I realise Jacqueline is very creative – the various backdrops are inspired, and her props are super quirky. As she seats me
in a throne-like chair, I glance around at the images on the
walls. And it seems, whether she's taking pictures of people, products, celebrations or events, website content and passport photographs, Jacqueline puts her all in getting the best out of
her subject.

Jacqueline has been a professional photographer for many years, and she now offers photo shoots at her stunning new studio in Beaconsfield.

Previously, she worked in Mayfair for 25 years as a make-up artist and skin therapist whilst working in photography on a freelance basis. She still includes this beauty element in her photography sessions, as she prepares people for their shoots. After moving to Spain for three years, she returned to the UK
and based herself in Beaconsfield as a photographer.

'I found the space and converted it into a studio over a few months, now I absolutely love it,' she says. 'It is a fantastic space offering plenty of beautiful natural light, backdrops and props, such as a quirky reclaimed Selfridges window frame and a reclaimed old barn door, its all so creative. No typical plain
white walls going on here!' It also benefits from free parking
and is easily accessible, being close to the town centre.

Since opening her studio, Jacqueline has become prominent through several royal commissions including Her Royal Highness her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the Duchess of Cornwall, the
Duke of Kent and Duke of Edinburgh, and very recently the
King of Jordan.

So what was the Queen like?'She was very polite – as you
might expect she needed little instruction. She is the most famous woman in the world and the most photographed,'

Jacqueline says. 'I photographed these Royal members at a private Mayfair Club in London.

'I'm often requested to take pictures of celebrities – if you
like my Facebook Penn Road Studio page, you can see all the glamorous faces I have photographed.'

Jacqueline is gathering a reputation for family and children's portraits too, plus bump and baby shoots.

Dog photography has also become something of a signature of Jacqueline's portfolio. She has photographed dogs of all ages and life stages, and was recently commissioned to photograph a beautiful golden retriever at a late stage of life.

Jacqueline enjoys portraying stories and narratives in the
events she's commissioned to shoot too, whether it be a social or corporate branded event, from the Royal courts, five-star London hotel events, commercial environments and country clubs, through to family and children's milestone celebrations. She also captures special moments at weddings in an unobtrusive manor.

'I'm constantly training, learning new techniques,' she says. 'In this line of work, you always have to be the best you can be. I often take reference from my idols Rankin, Platon and Eve Arnold as an inspiration.'
