What's on this weekend 26th & 27th January
It's still January and it's still gloomy, if you don't have much planned for the weekend, here's my round up of events and things to do locally.
Snowdrop Walk at Cliveden National Trust - Now until the snowdrops are no more
In the gloom of January, snowdrops are the little wonders of nature which can lift our spirits and help carry us through to spring. Check this article for live updates as we track the spread of the buds and blooms throughout the gardens and woodland.
Pirates & Mermaids Pop Up Play Village, Marlow Sea Cadets Hall, 10am - 11.15am - 26 Jan
Pop Up Play Village will be bringing a selection from their role play village including a beach cafe, they'll also be an art studio and fishing for mermaid and pirate treasure in their pretend rock pool! There is also a pirate themed treasure hunt and a real cafe will be serving a range of hot and cold drinks and snacks. If you fancy dressing up as a pirate or mermaid then there will be a small prize for the best costume… adults are welcome to join in with the dress up should they wish! Arrr me hearties!
Pre-walkers and adults don’t need a ticket when accompanying a child. The sessions are designed for children from 0-6 but this is just a guide and older children are very welcome too if they love role play.
Pre-booking is highly recommended.
The Little Mix Experience - Theatre Royal Windsor - 26 Jan at 2.30pm
If you’ve got a Little Mix fan in your house, they are sure to L.O.V.E. The Little Mix Experience!
Four hugely talented girls pay tribute to one of the UK’s finest Girl-Bands. With breathtaking dance moves, replica costumes and some of the finest vocals in the UK, this is a high-energy show from beginning to end, packed with all of Little Mix’s greatest hits and suitable for all ages!
Featuring songs such as DNA, Wings, Salute, Black Magic, Love Me Like You, Secret Love Song and many, many more.
They look like Little Mix, they sound like Little Mix, they are "The Little Mix Experience"
Under the Sea at the Look Out Discovery Centre, Bracknell 19th Jan - 24 March
Enter the magical world of the ocean as you take a journey through the wonders of the deep. Discover the creatures that live there and help protect them through different challenges. Can you help save the seas?
Crowns & Coronations at Windsor Castle - 26th Jan
Listen to the story of The Queen's Coronation, delivered by storyteller Olivia Armstrong. Each nostalgic session will culminate in a stirring role play of the ceremony, full of pomp and pageantry. These sessions are freefree with standard admission to the castle and if you have your advantage card admission to the castle is free to residents of RBWM.
Storytelling sessions will take place at 11:30, 13:30 and 14:30.

The Royal Wedding, The Duke & Duchess of Sussex, Windsor Castle - running until 17th Feb
This special exhibition features the wedding outfits worn by the couple at their wedding in May 2018. In the setting of the Grand Reception Room, The Duchess of Sussex’s wedding dress will be displayed alongside The Duke's frockcoat uniform. Also displayed will be the outfits worn by Their Royal Highness's Prince George and Princess Charlotte in their roles as pageboy and bridesmaid.
Junior Parkrun, Ockwells Park, Maidenhead - every Sunday 9am This is a 2km run for juniors, that's 4-14 year olds only. Its free to take part and the aim is to have fun whatever the pace. Parents can run with the little ones. When you're done you can grab a a coffee and have a play in the park or Andrea's Soft Play.
