Congratulations to Mums About reader…
Congratulations to Sally Anne Brown, who was the winner of our festive giveaway. Chosen at random out of all our entries put in a Santa hat, Sally won a pair of tickets to The Gourmet Picture Company.
Last year, a group of pals including chef Tom Kerridge, Brand Events CEO Chris Hughes and owner of Unicorn Productions Mark James were conversing of their shared love of great food, classic film and their home town of Marlow. They thought; why not combine all three and serve a three-course meal, created by a top UK chef whilst you’re watching a classic film with your loved ones? This is how the Gourmet Picture Company was born and a Christmas series was created at the Old Town Hall in Marlow town centre.
Now in its second year, GPC made it even bigger, even more fun with even more seats so everyone could join in the foodie festivities. The main Popup Cinema was based in Riley Park in Central Marlow, featuring a beautiful, plush and very cosy cinema with all the trimmings, (local Harrow & Hope Sparkling Wine and Rebellion Beer), and featuring Tom’s fabulous gourmet menu to match the films on show. The GPC also decided to pick on other venues around Marlow Town for Fringe Popup Cinemas in places such as the beautiful All Saints Church, Tom’s band new The Butcher’s Tap, The Coach and Bisham Abby to name just a few, in collaboration with Firefly Events.
