Warm wishes to local Paralympians

* This Saturday, 17th September, Naomi Riches (London 2012 Paralympic Gold Medallist and six-times world champion rower) will start her latest challenge – to set a new Guinness World Record as the fastest woman to row down the River Thames in a single scull... 165 miles from Lechlade to Gravesend Royal Pier non-stop in 50 hours or less. Naomi, from Marlow, was diagnosed with a rare eye condition called Cone Dystrophy aged eight. She also has Nystagmus. At school, Naomi was bullied for being different and was known as "the blind girl". "More than anything else in my life I wanted to be known as Naomi Riches and not be defined by my disability. I want to be known for what I am able to do, not what I cannot do," she said. Becoming Patron of IN-vision in 2014 gave Naomi the reason she was looking for to take on such a challenge. * A big congratulations to local dad Tom Aggar for winning a bronze medal at the Paralympics. In case you missed the moment Tom won bronze, you can see it here.
