Brunch at The Botanist

Some Mums About Cookham were lucky enough to try out the new brunch menu at the Botanist last Friday. And we were all blown away by the loveliness of it all. The decor, the pretty china, the friendly service – and the food. My God, it was to die for! I could eat it again now. Can I?! The menu ranges from a simple bacon or sausage muffin priced at £4.95, the contemporary classic of smashed avocado with poached egg and homemade tomato ketchup for £5.50 (which got rave reviews), or the all-time favourite full-English breakfast priced at £8.95. I had the full-English and it was sooo good.. If you wake up with a sweet tooth there are pancakes with fresh blueberries, maple syrup and crème fraiche at £4.95. All this washed down with a selection of coffee and specialty teas are available. If you've got something to celebrate, you can make brunch a Champagne one? Or you could try one of the Botanist’s inventive non-alcoholic cocktails: a Strawberry Milk may be just the ticket. Go on, treat yourself! Brunch is served 11am – 1pm Saturdays and Sundays at the Botanist.
