FILM OF THE WEEK

It's been a big week for me... My youngest, Ayda, started nursery. Hankie, anyone? So now with both my 'babies' at school or nursery, it's the beginning of a whole new era, a time to reasses my work/life balance. I went to see new movie The Intern to cheer myself up – and wow, what a film. A must for all mums, wives and go-getters, who want to know if they can really have it all...

Robert De Niro is Ben Whittaker, a 70-year-old widower who is bored of retirement so applies to become a senior intern at About The Fit, an online fashion start-up, founded and CEO Jules Ostin (Anne Hathaway).

There's lots of laughs and tears along the way, as she wonders whether she can really have it all – her own business, be a mum and a wife – and when it's all at stake, can Whittaker help her to find the right work/life balance?

It made me realise us mums put a lot of pressure on ourselves to do it all - and well. But also that we can!

I found myself smiling at the screen. A LOT - good sign of a great film. Go and see it with your mates!
