Cookham Dean Nursery is moving

After 23 years at Tythe Barn in Dean Lane, the nursery is moving. The staff and children are extremely excited to be moving to a beautiful house in the heart of Cookham that gives the increase in space which all the children can enjoy. The nursery will be called Park House Nursery and Pre-School after the existing name of the house and it is located on Maidenhead Road very close to the shops, which the children will have fun visiting. With Cookham train station on the doorstep, it also allows commuting parents and staff more convenient links to the nursery and their place of work.

The nursery is making several major investments in new equipment – a new six-seater Kiddibus and some smart new buggies to allow the staff to move the smaller children around so that they experience the local community too. Also being fitted is a 55” touch screen TV to encourage children to interact with learning and play programmes, and NurseryCam which enables the manager to monitor what is going on in every room, plus it has the facility for all parents to log in to see what their child is doing.

The building itself has lots more child-friendly spaces with separate sleeping, eating and messy play areas together with a learning room for pre-school children. The safe and secure garden will be redesigned by Peter Starkey, who set out the children’s garden at Tythe Barn.

The refurbishment and refit is near completion and they look forward to showing existing and prospective parents around the new nursery in January. For more information call 01628 481401.
