• Cookham Rise Primary School Choir will be broadcast performing two Christmas songs on BBC Radio Berkshire (104.1FM) on Wednesday 17 December between 7:45am and 8:00am. Don't forget to tune in

• A group of children from Cookham Nursery School will be making their annual trip to sing some Christmas songs to those at Elizabeth House next week. Stephanie Diggon and the team of Elizabeth House said: 'The members will be so happy to see them – there’s such a special bond between seniors and the young!'

• The staff and children at Holy Trinity School in Cookham are generously donating all the proceeds from their nativity performances to PFC Ethiopia (http://www.pfcethiopia.org/). Three members of staff from the school attended the PFC Ethiopia 30th anniversary event at the House of Commons in October, and were very moved by the evening.
