WEEKEND FILM AND CREATIVE WRITING RETREAT AT MOOR HALL IN COOKHAM

Resource Productions has launched a new Weekend Film & Creative Writing Retreat taking place on 15th and 16th November 2014 at Moor Hall, Cookham, for adults interested in film and creative writing, and who have ever wanted to script or shoot their own film.

This is a film and video production company based in Berkshire, who chose Moor Hall as a location for their first Weekend Film and Creative Writing Retreat for its history and connection to film for adults.

Oliver Laurenson-Gore, course organiser, said: 'In the 1940/50s, Moor Hall was a film and animation studio (known as GB Animation). Over 200 talented artists, writers and technicians worked at the site. We will be using and reflecting on some of the techniques that the studio used as part of the course.'

The retreat is an opportunity to socialise with like-minded people and get away to a picturesque village in Berkshire. The content of the course includes learning about story development, script writing and filmmaking techniques. The course will be led by experienced Script Editor, Adeela Sharif, and Film Producer, Dominique Unsworth.

The cost for the course is £375 (non-residential) and £500 (full residential). Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead and Slough residents may be eligible for a discount.
