VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO HELP PATIENTS IN COOKHAM

In order to meet a growing pressure for short notice and same-day appointments, Cookham Voluntary Services need to increase their pool of volunteer drivers. CVS provides transport for patients of the Cookham Medical Practice, who are unable to provide their own, to attend appointments at the practice and other local hospitals and clinics.

They are asking if anyone would be willing to volunteer to be a standby driver for one day a month. A rota would be drawn up, and the standby drivers could nominate their available day per month, whch would relieve the burden on CVS considerably. If CVS can find 20 people, willing to be on standby, this will go a huge way to resolving the problem.
